A Tribute to the Community

 

To celebrate the 1st birthday of RWDecal, we've teamed up with UKTS to offer some extra special prizes for those individuals who have most benefited the train simulator community. We hope to encourage individuals to become positively involved and give thanks to the many individuals who have done so already.

 

If you would like the chance of a free RWDecal License, a free item of DLC from Steam or premium membership at UKTS then read on:

 

All you need to do is email birthday@rwdecal.co.uk before midnight on Wednesday 10th November 2010 with information on how you or the person you are nominating has contributed to the train simulator community. You can nominate upto two individuals.

 

Examples of great community involvement might include offering support and help on forums, providing free content to the community etc. It can be for any simulator on any web site / forum. It doesn't have to be recent. The person who helps beginners with the basics is no less worthy for nomination than someone who builds a 90 mile route with awesome stock. The nominations can be for freeware developers, forum posters, commercial producers etc. It is for anyone who is part of the train simulator community. We all enjoy the same hobby and by working together we build a better community.

 

Once the nominations have closed (midnight Wednesday 10th November 2010) a poll will be created on the UKTS forums so that members can vote for who they think has made the greatest contribution to the train simulator community. As there is a poll limit of 100 on the UKTS Forums, if there are more than 100 different people nominated then we'll do our best to find the top 100 people that were nominated and they will be the ones included in the poll.

 

The poll will be made available on Friday 12th November and voting will close at midnight on Friday 19th November. The prizes, based on the community votes, will be awarded as follows:

 

The Top 10 In the Poll

The top 10 individuals in the poll will receive a free RWDecal license. If the individual already has a license then UKTS have generously offered to exchange the license for 3months premium subscription to UKTS. For those who have not got into RailWorks yet, you may exchange your RWDecal license for an MSTS community CD priced at £4.70.

 

In addition to this, the following prizes will be awarded:

 

1st Place

• 1 item of RailWorks 2 DLC from the Steam catalogue (donated by RWDecal)
• 12 months premium subscription to UKTS

2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Place

• 1 month premium subscription to UKTS

This competition is intended to encourage positive involvement in the train simulator community and thank those who have already made a significant contribution. The poll will be held on the UKTS forums so that votes are limited to 1 vote per UKTS member but nominations can be for any individual, on any forum / web site.

 

I appreciate that there are hundreds of people who have done a huge amount for the community over a long period of time and this kind of competition can't really hope to get out to all the right people. I hope that the gesture of thanks will be appreciated and equally I extend my thanks to everyone who does whatever they do to help the community. The ultimate prize for the work everyone does to help each other is that we all grow, build a better community, build more wonderful add-ons and so forth.

 

Remember, the person you help with the basics today could be the person whose route you are running a couple of years from now.

Nous espérons encourager les gens à s'impliquer d'avantage et remercier ceux qui ont déjà tant fait.

 

Vous aurez peut être la chance d'obtenir une licence de RWDecal, un DLC du catalogue de Steam ou un abonnement premium à UKTS.

 

Pour se faire, envoyez un mail à birthday@rwdecal.co.uk avant le mercredi 10 novembre 2010 à minuit. Dans ce mail nominez jusqu'à 2 personnes ayant contribué à la communauté, et comment ces personnes y ont participé.

 

Cela concerne aussi bien les personnes qui fournissent un support ou de l'aide sur les forums, qui proposent du contenu gratuit... Cela peut être pour n'importe quel simulateur, sur n'importe quel site ou forum de la communauté. Et pas forcément une contribution récente.

Aussi bien la personne qui aide un débutant sur des choses basiques que quelqu'un qui crée une route de 90 miles avec du matériel. Les nominations peuvent concerner un créateur de contenu libre, quelqu'un qui poste sur un forum, des créateurs de contenu commercial...

N'importe quelle personne faisant partie de la communauté des simulations ferroviaires.

Nous avons tous la même passion, et en travaillant ensemble, nous construiront une plus grande communauté.

 

Une fois les nominations terminées (mercredi 10 novembre 2010 à minuit), un sondage sera mis en place sur le forum de UKTS, pour que les membres puissent voter. Comme le nombre de choix dans un sondage est limité à 100 sur UKTS, nous ferons de notre mieux pour départager les 100 "élus".

 

Le sondage sera disponible vendredi 12 novembre et le vote se terminera le vendredi 19 novembre.

Les prix, en fonction des votes de la communauté seront attribués ainsi :

 

Les 10 premiers recevront une licence de RWDecal. Si la personne possède déjà RWDecal, UKTS a généreusement proposé d'échanger la licence contre un abonnement premium de 3 mois à UKTS. Si la personne ne s'est pas encore mise à Railworks, vous pourrez aussi échanger votre licence contre le CD communautaire de MSTS, d'une valeur de 4,70£.

 

En plus de ceci, les prix suivants seront attribués :

 

1ère place :

 

- 1 DLC de votre choix du catalogue Steam (offert par UKTS)

- 12 mois d'abonnement premium à UKTS.

 

De la 2nde à la 5ème place :

 

- 1 mois d'abonnement à UKTS.

 

Cette compétition a pour but d'encourager l'implication dans la communauté des simulations ferroviaires et de récompenser ceux qui y ont significativement contribué.

Le vote se tiendra sur le forum d'UKTS et sera limité à 1 par membre d'UKTS, mais les nominations concernent toute personne, sur n'importe quel forum/ site de la communauté.

 

Je suis conscient que des centaines de personnes ont déjà fourni une grande quantité de travail depuis un certain temps, et que cette compétition ne pourra pas récompenser tout le monde à sa juste valeur.

J'espère que le geste de remerciement sera apprécié et je remercie également toutes les personnes qui font tout ce qu'elles peuvent pour aider la communauté. La plus grande récompense pour le travail que vous faites pour aider les autres est de faire grandir, d'améliorer la communauté, créer plus d'add-ons incroyables et plus encore.

 

Rappelez-vous, la personne que vous aidez aujourd'hui pour le B-A BA est peut être la personne qui créera la route sur laquelle vous roulerez dans quelques années.
